What about cement walls outside? 2017-07-08T01:36:01+02:00

Stucco can be applied on both the interior and exterior walls of your home. The product is not mixed with water but a polymer solution which allows the wall finish to contract and shrink safely in the heat and cold.  On outside walls that have more UV exposure, Stucco will settle into a beautifully mottled finish over time.

Can it be applied in a shower? 2017-07-08T01:35:29+02:00

Yes it can. Clients love the look of this luxurious decorative wall finish in the bathroom. The raw plaster is first treated with a water-repellent application, where after the Wallcote is applied. You can even have a textured, non-slip finish applied to your shower floor to match your wall colours.

What about water damaged walls? 2017-07-08T01:35:10+02:00

The walls would first have to be inspected by a plumber and/ or waterproofing specialist to ensure that the source of the water damage is addressed. The walls should then ideally be scrubbed clean, re-plastered where necessary and left to dry.

Are there colours other than grey? 2017-07-08T01:34:41+02:00

Through the use of white cement and natural mineral oxides, we can offer you a natural range of colours to choose from. The oxides also allow us to ensure a consistent colour throughout the home. As with any cement product, it has a soft and natural mottling effect which gives every project its own unique character. Therefore the effect on cement walls is not flat but has natural, varying movement.

Do decorative cement walls crack? 2017-07-08T01:34:22+02:00

Our walls are not made to crack. However, our Wall cote is only as stable as the wall finish that it is applied to. Where there is damage to a wall, we apply a fibreglass matting beforehand to minimise any cracks and movement that normally shows through from a damaged wall finish.

How do I maintain my cement floors? 2017-07-08T01:34:02+02:00

You can keep your floors clean with a standard tile cleaner. For extra shine you can apply *FloorRevive as often as once a month. For tough dirt or stains, simply use a soft sponge and Sunlight Liquid – NO Handy Andy or cleaning products such as thinners, acetone, etc. These products will damage the sealant which will allow moisture into the damaged area which may cause discolouration.
In cases of heavy traffic, your floor might need to be re-sealed every three to four years. In these areas, such as entrances and foyers, you can reduce maintenance and wear and tear by using floor mats, both inside and outside of the entryways.
*FloorRevive is our own maintenance product available for all our cement walls and floors.

Are cement floors slippery? 2017-07-08T01:33:02+02:00

No more than tiles, vinyl or stone flooring. What we can do in high risk areas such as bathroom floors, is to simply add a non-slip additive to the sealant which will not affect the colour but will give you better grip under foot.

What about under floor heating? 2017-07-08T01:32:43+02:00

Yes, Cemfloor is perfectly suited to be applied over under floor heating as our product is specifically formulated to expand and contract with heat.

Can it be applied over tiles? 2017-07-08T01:32:08+02:00

Yes it can, providing that more than 80% of the tiles are sound and damage free. The builder should also take into consideration that our Cemfloor is applied at a 6mm thickness so it will affect all the levels at the doors.

Do decorative cement floors crack? 2017-07-08T01:31:15+02:00

Our floors are not made to crack. However, our flooring is only as stable as the slab/ screed that it is applied to. Also, weather does play a huge role in the application process. If applied in direct sunlight or hot days, small fissures may appear — also called shrinkage cracks —  but they are not structural and will not result in damage to your flooring.
